How do you choose what foods and how much of those foods actually go into your mouth? Do you eat food because it tastes good? because it's convenient? because you crave it? because it makes you feel better? because you think it's healthy?
Your food choices are such a key part of staying healthy that it makes sense to think about them and to make sure you're doing the best you can for your body and health. For some people, that means learning what and how much they should be eating. It means finding out what the best food choices are for them and why. For other people, the academics are there. They already know what healthy eating looks like, but execution is the issue. These people know what they should be doing but have a hard time doing it. For both groups, nutritional counseling can help. Whether the need is academic or behavioral (or both), counseling to develop a personalized food strategy is an important first step toward optimizing health.
